Physical Description and Identification

Adult 

Size: 0.275-0.472 in (0.7-1.2 cm)

Color: Their color ranges from black to reddish brown, though species with blue, yellow, orange, or green coloration have also been identified.

Other Characteristic Features: Their antennae are broken up into 9-10 segments.

Hoplia

Larva

They are active mostly during the summer, feeding until they are ready to pupate.

Pupa

After reaching its final stage, the larvae hibernate as a pupa in the spring of the following year.

Egg

They are white as milk, oval in shape, and glossy.
