Physical Description and Identification

Adult 

Size: 0.98-1.2 in (2.5-3 cm)

Color: They have a bright white appearance, quite evident from their common name.

Other Characteristic Features: Their white exoskeleton allows for excellent camouflage against their predators. In their native place, they mostly dwell among the white fungi, being nearly indistinguishable from the latter.

The newly hatched larvae have six legs.

Pupa

After maturing, the larva goes through a pupation phase, and finally hatches into a full-grown adult.

The females lay eggs close to the soil.
