Color: They mostly appear shiny brown or black.
Other Characteristic Features: They have a flat, leaf-shaped body with violin-shaped elytra. Other prominent features include elongated pronotum and head, long, slender legs, and long antennae.
The larvae of this species lie within the layers of the bracket fungi. Like the adults, they too feed on the larvae of insects.
