Beetles in Vermont

Vermont has several ladybird species, of which the Asian ladybird, invasive to the state, is the commonest and most sighted here. The state even has several tiger beetle species. Some of the significant ones are the medium to large-sized six spotted tiger beetle and the big sand beetle. Another invasive beetle discovered in Vermont in 2018 is the emerald ash borer, mainly causing damage to ash trees. The smaller found in food items and fabric.
